David Schwimmer Calls on Elon Musk to Ban Kanye West From X After Antisemitic Posts
Kanye West's latest antisemitic comments on X (formerly Twitter) have sparked outrage, prompting 'Friends' actor David Schwimmer to call for his ban from the platform.
West posted several inflammatory statements, including "I'm a Nazi" and "I love Hitler," while declaring he would never apologize for his antisemitic remarks. The rapper, who has 32.7 million followers on X, has drawn severe criticism for these statements.
In an open letter to Elon Musk, Schwimmer emphasized the real-world consequences of West's hate speech: "His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews." He noted that West's follower count is double the global Jewish population.

The Anti-Defamation League swiftly condemned West's rant, with CEO Jonathan A. Greenblatt calling it "a sad attempt for attention that uses Jews as a scapegoat." The American Jewish Committee similarly warned about the dangerous influence such statements can have on his millions of followers.
Several public figures have joined the criticism, including Meghan McCain and Piers Morgan. However, observers note that the response to West's antisemitism appears less forceful than during previous incidents.
The controversy follows West's recent appearance at the Grammys and adds to his growing history of antisemitic statements on social media platforms. Despite multiple calls for action, X has not yet taken steps to restrict West's account.
