Diddy Accuses Federal Agents of Leaking Cassie Attack Video to CNN; Prosecutors Deny Claims
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has accused federal prosecutors of leaking hotel security footage showing him attacking Cassie Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016. The footage, obtained by CNN in May, led Combs to issue a public apology for actions he had previously denied.

Federal prosecutors strongly deny these allegations, stating they "were not in possession of the video before its publication by CNN." They further clarified that the video was not obtained through grand jury processes, and Homeland Security Investigations had not accessed it prior to CNN's release.
Combs, currently held without bail, faces serious charges including:
- Sex trafficking
- Transportation to engage in prostitution
- Racketeering conspiracy
His defense team argues that information leaks have resulted in "damaging, highly prejudicial publicity" that could compromise his right to a fair trial. They are requesting a trial date in April or May 2025.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and continues to face multiple civil lawsuits from alleged victims.
