Diddy and SBF Share Same Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center
Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Sam Bankman-Fried are now sharing the same unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), where high-profile inmates are housed.
Diddy faces serious charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite offering a $50 million bond and 24/7 security monitoring, his bail request was denied due to concerns about witness tampering.
Sam Bankman-Fried, already serving a 25-year sentence for the FTX cryptocurrency fraud case involving billions in customer funds, has been in the MDC since his bail was revoked last year. He requested to remain there while pursuing an appeal.

The MDC, which houses approximately 1,200 inmates, has been criticized for its poor conditions, including overcrowding and unsafe living environments. While Diddy's legal team argues these conditions are "too horrific" for a pre-trial defendant, they haven't requested a transfer.
Diddy's lawyers are pushing for a swift trial, working to arrange his access to the government's extensive evidence while incarcerated. The evidence includes witness testimonies, photos, videos, and text messages.
