Federal Judge Orders Shkreli to Surrender All Copies of Wu-Tang Clan Album by August Deadline
A federal court has ordered Martin Shkreli to surrender all copies of Wu-Tang Clan's "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin" album by August 30th, as part of a preliminary injunction in a case brought by PleasrDAO.

The rare album, released in 2015 as a single physical copy, was initially purchased by Shkreli for $2 million. After his securities conviction, authorities seized the asset, which PleasrDAO later acquired for $4.75 million.
PleasrDAO filed the lawsuit claiming Shkreli retained unauthorized copies of the album's data and files after forfeiture, potentially planning to release them publicly. This action allegedly violates the Defend Trade Secrets Act.
Judge Pamela K. Chen's order specifically:
- Prohibits Shkreli from possessing, using, disseminating, or selling any interest in the album
- Requires him to surrender all copies to his counsel by August 30th
- Mandates a signed affidavit confirming he no longer possesses the 31-track album
- Demands disclosure of anyone he shared the album with and any resulting financial proceeds by September 30th
