NFL Maintains Partnership with Jay-Z Despite Ongoing Rape Lawsuit
The NFL is maintaining its partnership with Jay-Z and Roc Nation despite recent rape allegations filed against the music mogul. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that their relationship remains unchanged, including plans for upcoming Super Bowl entertainment.
The allegations emerged when a woman, represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, amended her lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs to include Jay-Z. The lawsuit claims both men were involved in her sexual assault at an awards show afterparty in 2000 when she was 13 years old.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, strongly denies these allegations, calling them "heinous in nature" and part of an extortion scheme. He has filed a countersuit against Buzbee and requested the anonymous accuser reveal her identity for litigation to proceed.
The NFL's partnership with Roc Nation, established in 2019, encompasses event production and social activism initiatives. The collaboration continues to expand, with Roc Nation producing the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring Kendrick Lamar at The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.
Goodell praised Roc Nation's contributions, particularly in social justice initiatives, stating, "They've been great partners." The partnership's immediate future includes Beyoncé's scheduled performance at the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans Christmas game.
