Former employee Brandon Garrett has filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj, alleging physical assault during her Pink Friday 2 tour. The incident reportedly occurred after her show at Detroit's Little Caesars Arena on April 21.

Nicki Minaj facing employee assault lawsuit
According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Garrett, who served as Minaj's day-to-day manager, claims he was summoned to her dressing room by her head of security. During a heated discussion about staff responsibilities, Minaj allegedly became visibly upset and struck Garrett on the right side of his face when he couldn't provide information about prescription pickups.
The complaint states that Garrett locked himself in a restroom for several hours following the altercation. He was subsequently dismissed from the tour before the next stop in Chicago. While attempting to file a police report, Garrett was unable to make an in-person statement in Detroit but eventually submitted an official report.
Minaj's lawyer, Judd Burstein, has denied the allegations, stating, "If the lawsuit is as reported by TMZ, it is completely false and frivolous. We are confident that the matter will be resolved swiftly in [Minaj's] favor."
The lawsuit seeks punitive, exemplary, and general damages. Eight members of Minaj's staff, including security head Larry Dathan, employee Luke Montgomery, and former manager Deb Antney, were reportedly present during the incident.
