Triller is actively targeting TikTok users ahead of the potential U.S. ban scheduled for January 19 by launching 'savemytiktoks.com', a platform designed to help users transfer their content from TikTok.

The service, powered by Amplify.ai (acquired by TrillerNet in 2021), allows users to backup their TikTok videos, profile information, and follower lists. Users need to connect their TikTok account, provide an email address, and later create a Triller account to complete the transfer process.

The impending ban remains uncertain, with President-elect Trump requesting the Supreme Court to consider postponing it, citing concerns about interference with foreign policy and describing TikTok as a "unique medium for freedom of expression."

On TikTok, users are increasingly discussing the potential ban, with creators directing followers to alternative platforms like Triller, Twitch, and Lemon8.

Despite this opportunity, Triller has faced various challenges:

  • Recent settlement of a lawsuit with Timbaland and Swizz Beats over Verzuz acquisition
  • Ongoing lawsuit regarding a $35.5 million promissory note to Yorkville Advisors
  • Successfully completed IPO in October 2024 after three failed attempts
  • Current stock trading at approximately $2.50
