Keefe D has vehemently denied all accusations related to Tupac Shakur's 1996 murder during his first interview since his September 2023 arrest. Speaking to ABC News from Clark County Detention Center in Nevada, Davis maintains his innocence despite previously admitting involvement in multiple forums.

Davis, allegedly a former Compton Crips leader, claims he only confessed because he was paid to lie. Prosecutors identify him as the 'shot caller' who orchestrated the Las Vegas drive-by shooting that resulted in Tupac's death six days later.

The prosecution's case largely relies on Davis' own accounts from:

  • Police interviews
  • Media appearances
  • His 2019 memoir "Compton Street Legend"

However, Davis now disputes the memoir's content, claiming his co-author took liberties with the story. He insists he wasn't even in Las Vegas during the shooting, stating he was in Los Angeles instead.

Key evidence against Davis stems from his 2008 confession to detectives investigating Notorious B.I.G.'s murder. While this admission was initially protected under a proffer agreement, subsequent confessions to Las Vegas authorities weren't covered, making prosecution possible.

The case will go before a jury in 11 months, with investigators saying they've spent years corroborating Davis' previous confessions with additional evidence and witness accounts.
