BBR Music Group Suspends Country Star Jimmie Allen Following Sexual Assault Lawsuit
BBR Music Group has suspended country singer Jimmie Allen following sexual assault allegations from a former team member. The suspension was announced on May 11 after a lawsuit was filed in Tennessee civil court.
The lawsuit accuses Allen of rape, sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking, and emotional distress over an 18-month period. The plaintiff, who remains anonymous, is also suing Allen's former manager Ash Bowers and Wide Open Music.

The accuser claims Wide Open Music was aware of Allen's previous behavior but still assigned her to work and travel with him during her first post-college professional role. Elizabeth Fegan, the plaintiff's attorney, stated that instead of receiving promised mentorship, her client was exposed to Allen's alleged predatory behavior.
Allen has denied the allegations, stating his relationship with Jane Doe was consensual. Wide Open Music has confirmed they ceased working with Allen after learning of the accusations and has since transitioned out of artist management.
As a result of these allegations, the Country Music Association has removed Allen from the CMA Fest lineup, where he was scheduled to perform at Nashville's Nissan Stadium on June 11 alongside artists including Ashley McBryde, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and Tim McGraw.
