Diddy Accuser Removes Universal Music from Sexual Assault Lawsuit, Legal Battle Continues Against Mogul
Universal Music Group (UMG) has been dropped from a sexual assault lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, according to a recent joint filing. The case, however, continues against Diddy, Bad Boy Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, and Sean John Clothing.
Crystal McKinney, a model, filed the lawsuit in May, alleging Diddy drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2003 at his New York City studio. According to the filing, McKinney was provided with alcohol and marijuana allegedly laced with intoxicating substances before the assault occurred.

The original lawsuit included UMG as a defendant, claiming the company "enabled" Diddy's actions and failed to implement proper policies regarding sexual abuse. However, UMG has now been dismissed from the case "with prejudice and without costs."
This dismissal follows a similar pattern where UMG, its CEO Grainge, and Motown subsidiary were removed from a separate sexual assault and sex trafficking complaint filed by Rodney Jones.
Diddy currently faces multiple sexual assault cases, including a recent filing that names Penske Media as a defendant. Additionally, Tupac Shakur's estate is reportedly considering legal action against Diddy regarding claims of his involvement in Tupac's murder.
