Jay-Z Demands Accuser Reveal Identity in Diddy Lawsuit, Files Court Motion Against Anonymous Claims
Jay-Z has filed a court motion demanding that the Jane Doe accuser who named him in a lawsuit alongside Diddy must reveal her real identity. The accuser claims Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) and Sean "Diddy" Combs sexually assaulted her when she was 13 years old at a VMAs afterparty in 2000.

Carter's attorney Alex Spiro argues that the allegations are "patently false" and part of a "campaign of extortion" by attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents multiple accusers against Combs. The motion states that Carter deserves to know his accuser's identity to properly defend himself against claims that demand substantial financial compensation and threaten his reputation.
While sexual abuse plaintiffs can sometimes proceed anonymously if there's a significant risk of retaliation, this is uncommon. Judges have already required other Jane Doe accusers in civil suits against Combs to disclose their identities.
Buzbee claims to represent 120 alleged victims of Combs and has filed over a dozen civil lawsuits, with many plaintiffs requesting anonymity. Carter's legal team cites previous rulings requiring accusers to reveal their names, arguing that this accuser hasn't met the requirements to maintain anonymity.
