Taylor Swift is currently signed to Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group, where she has been since November 2018. This marked a significant change in her career after spending over a decade with Big Machine Records.

When Swift first began her music career, she signed with Big Machine Records in 2005 at just 15 years old. During her time there, she released six successful studio albums, including "Taylor Swift," "Fearless," "Speak Now," "Red," "1989," and "Reputation."

In 2018, Swift's contract with Big Machine Records expired, leading to her groundbreaking deal with Republic Records. This new agreement gave her something she had long sought: ownership of her master recordings for all new music created under the label.

The transition wasn't without controversy. Big Machine Records retained ownership of the master recordings of Swift's first six albums. This led to a highly publicized dispute when Big Machine was sold to Scooter Braun's company in 2019. In response, Swift began re-recording her earlier albums under Republic Records, releasing "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)" in 2021.

Since joining Republic Records, Swift has released several new albums: - "Lover" (2019) - "folklore" (2020) - "evermore" (2020) - "Midnights" (2022)

The partnership with Republic Records has proven extremely successful, with Swift breaking numerous records and achieving unprecedented commercial success. Under this label, she has complete creative control and ownership of her work, marking a new chapter in her career.

Currently, Swift continues to work with Republic Records while also releasing her re-recorded versions of her earlier albums, known as "Taylor's Version," giving her control over both her new and old music catalog.
