Two new lawsuits allege that Quinn Emanuel law firm and attorney Marcy Croft orchestrated a scheme to pay individuals to file suits against the Buzbee Law Firm.

Jose Maldonado claims investigators posing as federal agents, working for Roc Nation, approached him after confirming he was a former Buzbee client. The investigators allegedly offered money to encourage him to sue the firm. This follows a similar lawsuit filed in December that included transcripts of comparable solicitation attempts.
The allegations surface while Buzbee Law Firm represents over 150 alleged victims in cases against Sean "Diddy" Combs and pursues a rape case against Jay-Z. Roc Nation is a client of Quinn Emanuel, and Marcy Croft has a long-standing relationship with the firm.
Tony Buzbee stated: "The conduct alleged by Mr. Maldonado is illegal and unethical. We know investigators have gone all over the United States illegally contacting our former clients to try to entice them with money to sue our firm. We won't be intimidated nor deterred in our important work."
Sean "Diddy" Combs currently remains in federal custody facing charges including racketeering and sex trafficking. Jay-Z, Roc Nation's founder, has been involved in related abuse allegation lawsuits connected to Combs.
