Meta Offers TikTok Stars Up to $50,000 Monthly to Switch to Instagram Reels
Meta is aggressively targeting TikTok influencers with lucrative contracts to create exclusive content for Instagram Reels. According to Business Insider's investigation, these deals range from $2,500 to $50,000 per month, with some creators being offered up to $300,000 for six-month commitments.

The contract requirements include:
- Posting at least 10 new, exclusive Reels monthly
- Creating videos between 15 seconds and 3 minutes long
- Maintaining exclusivity for 3 months
- Posting 25% more content on Reels than other platforms
- Converting two Reels per month into Instagram Stories
- Promoting Instagram Reels twice monthly on their primary platform
The payment structure is organized in tiers:
- Tier 1: $50,000/month
- Tier 2: $25,000/month
- Tier 3: $15,000/month
- Tier 4: $5,000/month
- Tier 5: $2,500/month
Meta is primarily targeting creators with over one million TikTok followers. However, some influencers and managers have expressed skepticism about the deals, with some calling them "cheugy" and citing concerns about the content tracking requirements.
While Meta has declined to comment on these payments, this aggressive strategy comes as TikTok faces ongoing challenges in the United States, including potential bans and ownership disputes.
