Primary Wave Acquires Rights to Legendary Violinist Itzhak Perlman's Recordings and Name & Likeness
Primary Wave has acquired recording rights and name/likeness interests from renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, marking a significant partnership with the 79-year-old, 15-time Grammy winner.

The comprehensive deal includes:
- All recording interests from Perlman's 50+ year career
- Artist royalties
- Name and likeness rights
- Notable recordings like "Black Orpheus," Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto
- Film score contributions (Schindler's List, Memoirs of a Geisha)
The partnership aims to explore:
- Marketing initiatives
- Synchronization opportunities
- New film and television projects
"I am excited to work with Primary Wave to see what plans they develop to take care of my recordings and to see what new opportunities they bring to the table," said Perlman, who first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show nearly 67 years ago.
Primary Wave VP Lexi Todd praised Perlman as "hands-down the greatest violinist of our time," expressing enthusiasm for the partnership and future collaborations to share his musicianship and story with new audiences.
