Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested in Manhattan by federal authorities following a grand jury indictment on September 16. While the specific charges remain sealed, sources close to the matter indicate they may include racketeering and sex trafficking.

Combs was taken to the FBI Field Office in Manhattan after his arrest. The indictment follows recent federal raids on his Beverly Hills and Miami properties, and months of grand jury testimony from various accusers.

His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, released a statement expressing disappointment with the prosecution, maintaining Combs' innocence and emphasizing his three-decade career building "an empire" while working to "uplift the Black community."

The arrest comes amid mounting legal troubles for the hip-hop mogul, including several sexual assault lawsuits. The most prominent case was filed by his former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, who accused him of sexual and physical abuse.

Combs had reportedly relocated to New York voluntarily last week in anticipation of these charges. His legal team maintains he has been cooperative with investigators throughout the process and "looks forward to clearing his name in court."
