Sean Kingston and Mother Arrested in Florida Over $1M Fraud Scheme
Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, face multiple fraud charges totaling over $1 million in Florida. Kingston was extradited from California following his May 23 arrest, while Turner was arrested when a SWAT team raided their Fort Lauderdale rental mansion.

The charges include:
- Conducting a scheme to defraud
- Identity theft
- Grand theft
- Related financial crimes
According to Broward County Sheriff's Office warrants, the pair allegedly stole:
- Nearly $500,000 in jewelry
- Over $200,000 from Bank of America
- Over $100,000 from First Republic Bank
- $160,000 from a Cadillac dealer (Escalade)
- $86,000 from a customized bed maker
Kingston is currently serving a two-year probation for trafficking stolen property. His mother previously served 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud in 2006, involving theft of over $160,000.
Their attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, states they are "confident of a successful resolution" and will address the charges in Florida court.
Kingston, 34, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, is known for his 2007 hit "Beautiful Girls" and his collaboration with Justin Bieber on "Eenie Meenie."
