Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, immediately responded, stating the allegations "never had merit and were nothing more than a fictional tale." Jay-Z himself called the case "frivolous, fictitious, and appalling."

The case was dismissed with prejudice by attorney Tony Buzbee, meaning it cannot be refiled. The accuser's credibility came into question when she admitted in a recent interview that "not all the facts are clear" and suggested possible misidentification of the accused.

While this case has been resolved, Diddy continues to face significant legal challenges. He remains in custody facing over 30 civil cases related to sexual misconduct and federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. His trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025, after being denied bail three times.
