Spotify Removes Andrew Tate's Controversial Podcast Following Policy Violations
Andrew Tate's podcast promoting questionable content has been removed from Spotify following internal employee complaints and a petition signed by 92,000 people. The specific podcast, which contained explicit content about exploitation, violated Spotify's content policies regarding dehumanizing statements.

A Spotify spokesperson clarified that the removal was due to policy violations rather than public pressure. While this specific podcast was removed, other Tate-related content remains available on the platform, including instructional content about dating.
The removal comes amid serious legal troubles for both Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, who face charges of human trafficking and exploitation of minors in Romania. According to DIICOT, Romania's anti-organized crime agency, the Tates allegedly used "loverboy" manipulation tactics to exploit victims for online pornographic content, generating approximately $2.8 million in illegal proceeds.
Spotify's content moderation approach remains selective. For comparison, when R. Kelly was convicted in 2018, Spotify removed his music from playlists but kept it available for streaming under their "Hateful Conduct" policy. This demonstrates the platform's general reluctance to completely remove content, preferring instead to limit its promotion.
